The Telluride Glass Company was started in 1972 in response to the community’s need for someone to stock and sell window glass. It seems that I was the only person that was willing to do it and probably the only person able to cut glass.

The company was started with Burk Thompson as a partner and was sold in 1982 to Robbie Melzer and Davy Greever who ran it for a number of years before selling it.

It was a great introduction in the early years to the Telluride Construction industry and I can still drive around the area and spot houses where we installed big thermopane windows, shower stalls, mirrors and the like.
