Southwest Realty Group was started in 1994. The partners included myself, John and Molly McClement and Pam King. I was the managing broker and our offices were located in the building where the Telluride Music Company is now located.

The building was owned my Michael Cimino, the movie director, who was a friend of mine. He had been to the Telluride Film Festival and with the money from Deer Hunter had purchased the building as an investment and tie to Telluride.

Chuck Hess, one of the greatest realtor/salesmen of all time joined us from Houston as did locals, Dick Unruh, Richard Betts, Charlie Kane, and Linda Thomas, and Barbara Betts was our office manager.

We sold a lot of property and had a lot of fun.

I’m in the process of writing and producing a “sitcom” on those days and hopefully it will get picked up by a studio. You have to admit, it’s going to be a comedy.
